New! Pending COI and Training Information- On the left side menu in the submission workspace, there will be a new area to provide a quick snapshot of which COIs and training are pending for investigators and study staff. We hope this will help facilitate the submission process.

NEW! QI EBP Research Tool-We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Decision Matrix in eIRB to help determine whether a proposed activity can be considered Quality Improvement (QI), Evidence-Based Practice (EBP),or Research. To access the tool, login to eIRB and then select from the ‘New Decision Matrix’ button under the ‘Create Decision Matrix’ heading. Note that if you do not have an eIRB account you will need to request one in order to use the tool. Please remember to SUBMIT this to the IRB for consideration once you have completed it.

Expedited continuing reviews (full Board review not required) may use submission deadlines for full Board reviews as a guideline, but should follow an 11-month continuing review process.  The extra month ensures that continuing review occurs in advance of the study expiration date with enough time to resolve any possible IRB stipulations.  For example, if IRB approval for a study expires on April 13th then a continuing review application should be submitted by March 13th, at least 1 month before the study expiration.
